Mr. Arvind Singh Karki, First Secretary [Consular] and Nodal Welfare Officer for the Indian Community in High Commission of India, Dar-es-Salaam will meet the Members of the Indian Community on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday [Except on closed holidays] between 03:30-04:00 PM, without prior appointment, concerning issues including assistance sought from the High Commission on Consular matters, family affairs etc.

In a recent incident of robbery in a domestic residence of an Indian national in Dar es Salaam, the use of violence against the wife of the NRI, resulted in her death. The matter has been taken up by the High Commission of India with concerned authorities, urging them to speedily investigate, apprehend and prosecute those responsible for this heinous crime. Keeping in view the problems faced by Indian nationals and others resident in Tanzania, it is advisable to take due precautions towards the personal safety and security of self and family.
